Slough Council for Voluntary Service

Slough CVS is your local group set up to help people who
want to start a voluntary group or who want to see their existing
group develop its work, get funds or undertake new services.

Slough CVS gives information, advice, training and
continuing support around:

Roles of the people in it
Running an efficient meeting
Writing a constitution
Venues to hire
Local people who can help
Local groups doing similar work
Local partnerships your group could join
Funding opportunities

Slough CVS carries out these functions by:

One-to-one advice and consultancy
A quarterly news letter - Newsline
Individual group training
Training sessions
Making books and leaflets available
Use of an information and Resource Room

Slough CVS is an association of local voluntary groups who
elect from among themselves representatives to manage
the organisation.
