Slough Community Network

Why do we need a community network?

In 1996 people in Slough took part in a survey that was organised by the Race Equality Council called the Additional Support Programme. Some people who were interviewed said that they felt that they did not have influence over decisions that were made in Slough.

What is the Slough Community Network?

Through a series of events open to community groups throughout Slough, Slough Community Network will provide great opportunities for you to meet with other community groups in Slough. It will give you the chance to come and prioritise what is important for Slough.

What form will it take?

Slough Community Network will include networking events like In Good Company, training events and participatory planning workshops that help groups to influence the changes they want to see in Slough. It will give you the chance to share information with other community groups in Slough and with statutory organisations. It will help to focus your issues and how you can achieve them.
